check in and set up
Official festival load in begins at 8 AM. You must be on site and checked in by 9:30 AM. Please do not try to check in before 8am - we will be busy setting up! If you arrive early, you may wait in the parking lot.
To keep this as simple and efficient as possible, we are not assigning booth locations in advance. When you arrive, you must immediately check in; you will be assigned a spot at that point. We will have 2 check-in tents, one on each side of the field (look for the tent with our signature pennant garland on it).
We will be filling the booth spaces in the order that exhibitors arrive. Once you have checked in, we will show you to your space and you can then unload to your spot.
There will be temporary parking near the field while you are setting up your booth. However, you will need to move your vehicle to the designated exhibitor lot before the festival opens. We will send out detailed directions the week before.
TENTS
Each exhibitor must have a tent, which must be heavily weighted. If you noted on your application that you do not have a tent (or other necessary items), we will work on sourcing a loaner from our Greenville community for you.
Per city regulations, tents must be weighted with a minimum of 40 lbs. per leg. Staking or drilling tents is strictly prohibited at Trailblazer Park. Signage and tent anchoring must be accomplished with weights such as sandbags, concrete or water-filled barrels.
cancellation policy
If you need to cancel, please let us know immediately. There is an extensive waiting list and we would love to offer another WNC maker the spot.
You may not transfer your space to another maker. Only confirmed artists will be permitted to exhibit.
Please note, this event is rain or shine and will not be cancelled unless there is severe weather.

Booth Displays
All booth spaces are 10' x 10'. You must stay within your booth area. You may not place anything outside your booth boundaries, including signage.
Please note that since the exhibition area is a grass lot, the ground will be affected by the weather in the days preceding. If it has rained shortly before a market, the ground may be muddy in some areas. Please plan accordingly.
Booth display elements must not pose a safety risk to others. Displays must be secured to prevent possible injury to attendees. Please do not bring overly top heavy items that could fall.
WHO CAN I BRING?
You are welcome to bring assistants or your family / kids with you. However, Trailblazer Park does not allow dogs, so please leave your furry friends at home.
FOOD AT THE EVENT
We recommend bringing a packed lunch. We are working to secure food vendors but the offerings may be limited. There are also a plethora of restaurants in Travelers Rest, within a 5 minute drive, if you have an assistant that could run out.
Please note, we will not be able to have our beloved exhibitor lounge at this event.
OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS
If you plan to stay overnight, Travelers Rest has some affordable options. Downtown Greenville is only a 15 minute drive, though rates there will be significantly higher. There are also a good number of Airbnb / VRBOs in the area.

RETAIL LICENSE
Below is the information regarding retail licenses from the SC Dept. of Revenue. Please note, we do not police this, we only pass along the information. We will not ask to see your retail license. Neither Indie Craft Parade nor its organizers are responsible for any fines you might incur with the SCDOR.
Any time you sell something to the public, the state of South Carolina requires you to have a current retail license for collecting sales tax. You can include sales tax in the total price of your items so you don’t have to deal with small coins and percentages. Just make sure you charge it somewhere so you’re not out that money in the end.
Retail License details:
- You must have a South Carolina retail license or the SC Dept. of Revenue could potentially fine you $500. Out-of-state licenses do not qualify.
- Obtain a Retail License for from the SC Dept. of Revenue. This can be submitted in person or by mail.
- If you operate a full-time retail business in SC and already have a current SC retail license, you do not need another license, but do bring a copy of your regular retail license.
- If you have secured a South Carolina retail license in the past and have never terminated it, it is still current. You do not need to apply again, just bring the license you already have.
- If you have any questions, you can contact the SC Dept. of Revenue directly at (864) 241-1200.We encourage you to ask lots of questions. Be sure you understand SC filing laws.
